la respuesta es (-28)

para poner una fraccion colocas asi: 8/9 o 3/4

If you're using the on-site calculator, hit the "log" button on the calculator, type in the number you want to take the log of,  hit  the "=" button

24 inches divided by 12, divided by 5,280 multiplied by 49 divided by 60

Just enter it into the calculator like this

24 ÷ 12 ÷ 5280 × 49 ÷ 60

Your answer will be in inches

Change the percent to a decimal:

30% = 0.30

Then you just multiply!

0.3*20=6

Hope this helped!

-2+-2= -4 (+- = -)
-3y+3y=0

answer= -4

1/3 x 4/5= 4/15

Adding to the first response, the relation of the diameter of a circle (the line that passes directly through the circle to cut it perfectly in half) to the circumfrance (the line all the way around the circle), means that if you were to take the length of the diameter and lay it along the circumfrance as if it were a piece of string, you would have to use about three pieces of string that are the length of the diameter to stretch all the way around the circumfrance. So, pi is basically "the length of the diameter can go around the circumfrance 3.14159265... times." So, it's about three times.

Re: -12/3/4

I assume you mean this:       (-12)/(3/4)

First, write the whole number as a fraction = (-12/1)

Now, invert (flip over) the second fraction = (4/3)

Now...just multiply the first thing by the second.......this gives

(-12/1) * (4/3) = (-48/3) = (-16/1) = -16

And that's it............

Well, first of all, what do you mean by "complex fractions"? Do you mean where there are multiple numbers on the top and the bottom of the fraction and you have to solve for x?

9/10 in it's simplest form :)

Pie is 3.14

2(x³y⁵)²

Remember that we have a rule of powers (exponents) that says (a^m)ⁿ = a^(m*n)

In effect, we're multiplying the "inside" power by the "outside" power

So we really have      2[ (x³)² * (y⁵)² ] = 2[x⁶ * y¹⁰] = 2x⁶y¹⁰

The mathematical pi is approximately the number 3.14159. The number itself is used as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. The number is actually much larger and is never ending.

A normal pie is a type of baked dish and has no relation to the number besides usually being a circle-ish shape.

Do the math

If 2x+3=90, then does 2x+4=100  (???)

Here's one quick way to solve this -  this "method" won't always work, but it does in this case.

Subtract 3 from both sides in the first equation and 4 from both sides in the second.

Then, in the first equation 2x = 87

But, in the second equation, 2x = 96

And since "2x" has to be the same thing in each case, then it's impossible for it to equal both 87 and 96 at the same time!!! So the second equation isn't valid, given the first!!

We're "cheating" a little bit here, but what the heck??..... I'm lazy!!!

2/1/5 as a fraction

I assume you mean this:       (2)/(1/5)

First, write the whole number as a fraction = (2/1)

Now, invert (flip over) the second fraction = (5/1)

Now...just multiply the first thing by the second.......this gives

(2/1) * (5/1) = (10/1) = 10

And that's it............

ln e to the 5th power

I assume you mean this:    lne⁵

Note, by a property of logarithms, we have

ln(a)^b  = b*ln(a)      In other words, I can just bring the exponent (power) "out front" and multiply it by the "log" part (or, "ln" part - in this case)

So we have

lne⁵      =     5*lne

"lne" is just "1"    (It denotes the exponent that I need to put on "e" to give me "e")

So we have

5* (1) = 5

And that's all there is to it........

Thanks Melody!

Fun fact: (9.46*2.5)*10^12 = 23 trillion, 650 billion

10^10^10 is called a trialogue. Or {10,3,2} in BEAF, or E1#3 in Hyper-E Notation.

A fzgoogolplex. Or (10^10^100)^(10^10^100)

coockies are packed  in 2 kinds of boxes : big and small. the number of coockies in a small box is half of the number of coockies in the big box. how many coockies there are in every box if 3 big boxes and 5 small boxes have 165 coockies together

OK.....let's call the number of cookies in the small box "x."  And since the number of cookies in the big box is twice as many, let's call that "2x."

So ....  the number of small boxes times the number of cookies in each plus the number of big boxes times the number of cookies in each equals 165.  Mathematically, we have

5(x) + 3(2x) = 165   So we have

11x = 165  Divide by 11  and we get

x = 15    So........that's the number of cookies in the small box

And since the big boxes hold twice as many, there must be 30 in each one of them.

And that's it

2 cause -2+4=2

and -3y+3y=0

2+0=2
