To start of u don't need the height of the cylinder since its an area of a circle you want to calculate.
You only need the radius and a formula for the area of circles which is A = pi r^2
Insert the value of the radius in r.
A= 3.14... times 4^2
A= 3.14... time 16
A= 50,265...

|x|² -3|x| -10 = 0
[input]plot( abs(x)^2 - 3*abs(x) - 10 , x=-10..10 )[/input]
[input]x^2 -3*x -10 = 0[/input]
this would be the results if there where no |x| in the equation: {x=-2, x=5}
these are candidates for solutions for |x|² -3|x| -10 = 0.
[input]|-2|² -3|-2| -10[/input]
this is not equal to 0, so not a solution
[input]|5|² -3|5| -10[/input]
this is equal to 0, so x=5 is the only solution.

You need to use the distributive property to multiply each term inside the first paranthesis with every term inside the second paranthesis.

One bug resolved, another one(hopefully, only one) added...
Now the '+' ops between the parsed terms disappeared...

All possible results are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
the desired outcome is: 4, 5, 6.
So:
3 elements
= 3/6 = 1/2. The decimal form is 0,5.
6 elements
Excuse any bad grammar, as I don't have english as my 1st language.

Hello.
You just have to multiplize the different parts.
like: (a + b ) ( c + d ) = ac + bc +ad + bd
a = 6
b = -5x²
c = c^4
d = -x³
I hope it helps you

You can only use Pyhagorean Theorem when there is a right angle. You use it when a side lenght is unknown, but two other sides are known. If you are finding c, do the equation a^2+b^2=c^2. If you are finding b, do the equation b^2=c^2-a^2. If you are trying to find a, do the equation a^2=c^2-b^2. Hope this helped
