You have to use these 'constants' to convert 75 m/hr to ft/s to solve the problem....
I just happen to know that 88 ft/sec = 60 mph
So....we can use this conversion factor to find 75 mph in terms of feet per sceond
Another way to see this is that 75mph is 5/4 of 60 mph
So 5/4 * 88 ft/sec = 110 ft / sec
If you hit the ' = ' sign twice at the and of your calculation it will display in Scien. Notation ...maybe that is how you got there....
@ElectricPavlov 5280 ft/m or 1hr/3600 wasnt in the probelm
This is the same as 9 x 10^4 = 90000 in this case 'e' means 'exponent'
75 m/hr x 5280 ft/m x 1hr/3600 sec = 110 ft/sec
@CPhill Ohhhhh i didn't see that, but where did 88ft/sec and 60mph and 110ft come from?
Given in the question.....
@CPhill How did you get 165 ft?
Note : 88 ft/sec = 60 mph .....so.....
75 mph = [ 88 ft/sec / 60 mph] = 110 ft / sec
So
165 ft / [110 ft / sec] =
1.5 sec = reaction time
√180 =
√[ 36 * 5 ] =
√ 36 * √5 =
6√5

The book "Math" is crated so millions of people can read it.
(you put "crated" so I told why math was "crated")
No prob bob(Or Chris)....
The formula for the volume of a cone is V=(pi*r2h)/3. Just use that formula and solve for h.
u=1
Thanks for the correction, Obscure.....my bad....!!!!
You have to convert it into an exponent form. For example, if it were 24,000,000, you could just write that as 24x106 .
(6a)^4 = 6^4 * a^4 = 1296 a^4
120 - 103
120 mins p/week, not 180
The answer is 17 more minutes =^3
