You omitted the case where all the questions were answered true, i.e. the C(10,0) case.

That brings the number to 1024 - 1 - 10 - 45 = 968

Ok, thank you! My answer of 1080 is right and I understand.

There are 8 numbers  divisible  by 3 from 1-24...

So...the probability of NOT select a number divisible by 3 is :

1  -  8/24 =   

1 - 1/3  =

2/3

z score =  [  16.4   - 14.2 ] / [ 2.15 ]  ≈  1.02

From  the  z score table this value equates to  ≈ .8461 ≈  84.61%

So...the probability of picking a  sunflower > 16.4 ft   =  1  - .8461  ≈  15.39%
