\(p=\Phi\left(\dfrac{276-300}{53}\right) =\\ \Phi(-0.45283)= \text{ (using software or lookup table)}\\ 0.325 =32.5\% \)

\(N+1x = 97\\ N+5x = 265\)

\(\text{Subtract eq 1 from eq 2}\\ 4x = 168\\ x = \$42\\ N = 97-x = 97-42 = \$55\)

At what time will they next all ring their bells together?

I answered on your original post.

Just becasue someone makes a garbage post it does not mean that you won't get a real one as well.

I thought this was a math help/chat site...

If you need help with these kinds of problems, mabye look in a textbook or ask a teacher/supervisor.

I think you are better off to post it as a new CORRECT question.

I cannot see any little icon :/

Not quite,

The range is often more limited for the inverse.

Further constrainst on range often have to be introduced because the inverse must also be a function

Each x value must have AT MOST one y value.

eg

\(f(x)=sin x\)                  domain is all real x                  and range is      [-1,1]

\(f^{-1}(x)=sin^{-1}x\)        domain  is    [-1,1]     but range must be limited. Uusally it is limited to    \([-\pi/2,\pi/2]\)

Whoops OP here, I accidentally missed a part of the function when reading over the assignment. g(x) = 0,5x^2 is supposed to be g(x) = 0,5x^2 + x + 3

Look at your negative z-score table to find the number .1271             z-score   =  -1.14

Thank you very much! That verified my thought process!

I wasn't sure.....your answer sounded correct.... I looked this up....from Purple Math...

"To find the domain and range of the inverse, just swap the domain and range from the original function."

Good !

Ya gotta 'right click' on the little icons if ya can see 'em.....

Yes I did get D. Thank you very much.
