I can not solve the x that the program fails me and tells me that the x is 56.
Nor do I understand.

keep trying - in not giving up, you will gain more than simply the solution to your math problem.

Elimination Method
2x – y = - 9
x + y = 6
Add the two equations to eliminate y.
(2x + x) + (- y +y) = - 9 + 6
3x + 0 = -3
3x = - 3
x = - 1
To find y replace x with -1 in the second equation.
-1 + y = 6
y = -7

yes, it is a linear function in two unknowns, so we are expecting an infinite number of solutions. the solutions are all pairs (x,y) such that y = 3*x + 6. (basically, pick a value for x and y is determined or choose a value for y and x is determined.) the graph is a line in the x-y (cartesian) plane having a slope of 3 and a y-intercept of 6.

how about a strategy instead of a solution:
let a = the age of alice at present and let b = the age of her brother at present
what is an equation for the relationship of their present ages (hint: in words it is "alice is 4 times her brother's current age")?
what about 10 years from now: how old will alice be (hint: 10 years older than she is now, which now is "a")? and how old will her brother be (hint: 10 years more than "b")?
so what is the equation for the relationship of their ages 10 years from now (hint: in words it is "alice will be twice as old as her brother")?
now, we 2 equations (the 2 above) and two unknowns ("a" and "b"). can you solve them?

yes, there is (someone who can help).
if you were careful about writing the problem according to the widely accepted conventions for the order of operations (do you recall PE-MD-AS), then the solution for "S" is
-log10((10*E*t)/(CL*K)).
if you were not so careful as to write the problem using those conventions, then please resubmit your problem with parentheses to indicate the correct grouping of terms.

7 + y = -6 ?
solve step-by-step using rules of algebra:
(problem) 7 + y = -6 -->
(subtract 7 from BOTH sides) 7 + y - 7 = -6 - 7 -->
(collect like terms - in this case, constants) y + (7 - 7) = (-6-7) -->
(reduce) y + 0 = -13
(reduce) y = -13 (answer)
