Here is an example of what I usually deal with:

sin 3x = 1/2

The answer to this being 10⁰, 130⁰, 250⁰, 150⁰, 170⁰, 290⁰ All of the angles that can be multiplied by 3 and then the sin will equal 1/2, or .5.

Alright, the only thing is, I am generally supposed to have an angle for an answer, such as 15^o, 10^o, etc. Usually there is a sequence of angles that will work for the equation as well.

I need to come up with several angles as an answer, a sequence of angles that solve the problem.

First, we will change your 2 mixed numbers into improper fractions.
1 1/2 = 3/2
4 1/2 = 9/2
Next, we multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators
9*3 and 2*2, keeping the fraction form.
9*3=27 2*2=4 so we now have 27 over 4, the answer is 27/4, or 6 3/4
