I am impressed with how you have presented your question.
A very nice improvement :)
Here is what you have so far
Please work through this list:
1) Let the overlap of the circles where they both grow be x.
2) In terms of x, how many in total grow potatos ?
3) In terms of x, how many in total grow sugar beet?
4) Ths sugar beet number is 3 times the potato number. Form an equation for this.
5) Solve the equation to find x.
6) How many farmers are so far accounted for.
7) How many farmers to not grow either one.?
Now I know for a fact that you can answer at least some of these.
Come back to me with your answers.
