For part c, note that the denominator can be factored as (x+4)(x-3).

If you just put x = -4 in the original denominator you get zero, but if you put the denominator in factored form, and then cancel the (x+4) term you will have removed the singularity at x = -4.

odd i encountered the same problem

Volume of cylinder = pi r^2 h          r = 100 cm  h = 250 cm  (but it isonly 1/2 full , so we will use 125 cm for h)

         pi (100)^2 (125) = 3926990.8 cm^3

1 l = 1000 cm ^3   so divide by 1000 to get liters  = 3926.99 ~~ 3927 l

First voltage is not passed THROUGH a wire....voltage is applied ACROSS a wire   ...current goes THROUGH a wire.

V = IR      50 = .2 R    R = 250 ohms

maximum usually occurs at  pi / 2    this one occurs at  2  so the curve is shifted Right by .4292     (because  2- .4292 = pi / 2)

sin (x -.4292) +5     

the maximum is usually 1       shifted up 5 in our example = 6     but this maiximum is 7 ....this would be 2 shifted up 5

   so amplitude is 2
