Actually that is a good answer, unfortunetly it is also wrong.

First  one  ...we  have  two rectangles

The top rectangle  has  the dimensions  (11)  x (14 - 9)   =  11 x 5   =  55 cm^2

The bottom rectangle  has the dimensions  20 x 9  =  180 cm^2

Total area  =  [55 + 180] cm^2   =   235 cm^2

ACB  is an inscribed angle  ....its measure  =  (1/2) of the arc it intercepts

Since  ACB intercepts arc AB  its measure  =  (1/2) (80)  = 40°

= (-6-4i-12i-8i²)  /  (9+6i-6i-4i²)

= (-6-16i-8i²)  /  (9-4i²)

= (-6-16i-8(-1))  /  (9-4(-1))

= (-6-16i+8)  /  (9+4)

= (2-16i)  /  (13)        OR       2 / 13   x   -16i / 13

(2 + 4i)  / (-3 + 2i)      multiply num/den  by  the conjugate of -3 + 2i  =  -3 - 2i

So we have

(2 + 4i) ( -3 - 2i)

(-3 + 2i) (-3 - 2i)

-6 - 12i - 4i - 8i^2

9 + 6i - 6i - 4i^2

Just to give you some hints: 

for question 1, add 11*14 with (20-11)*9

for question two do the same thing with the splitting method.

We have right angles  at  DEA and  DFA

And angle EAD  = angle FAD

And DA  = DA

So....by  Angle-Angle - Side  these triangles are congruent

So triangle DEA  = triangle DFA

So....DE = DF

So....this means that  y  = x

Yeah ! If you look at my work, then I did that. I'm just not sure if it's right. That's the only problem. :)
