You can just type in abs(x) for example to get |x|.

Distribute the 10 first by multiplying it with the x and 2.

10*x - 10*2 = 10x - 20

10x - 20 + 15 = 8x + 7

Notice, -20 + 15 = -5...

10x - 5 = 8x + 7

Now, all we have to do is add 5 to both sides and subtract 8x from both sides.

This should be easily solvable now.

This one requires distribution of the 2 and 16 first.

Multiply 2 to 3 and x --> 2*3 - 2*x = 6 - 2x

Multiply 16 to x and 1 --> 16*x + 16*1 = 16x + 16

Now, we have 6 - 2x = 16x + 16.

Add 2x to both sides and subtract 16 from both sides.
