10 presents can be ordered in 10! different ways;
presents can then be grouped 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and so on
however, "double counting" happens in two ways -
one ... in each group of 2 there is double counting by a factor of 2! .
two ... the groups are double counted in 5! different ways.
the answer = ((10!)/(((2!)^5)*(5!)))
in general ...
for n items
and k items per group
where n=km
the formula is:
((n!)/(((k!)^m)*(m!)))
... i think? :(

The ratio of arc length to radius for a circle, gives the angle θ in radians ie θ = a/r
so here θ = a/r = 250/4000 = 1/16 = 0.0625 radians

(1/2) * (5/8) = 5/16 = 0.3125 or
0.5 * 0.625 = 0.3125

question is perhaps a little unclear?
g(x) = x - 2^(1/2) = x - 2^0.5 = x - 1.414213562373095
so g(x) is ...
the equation of a straight line
slope = +1
y intercept (where x = 0) = -1.414213562373095

11/12*4/9 is ambiguous?
add some brackets to make it clear
is it (11/12)*(4/9) or 11/(12*(4/9) and so on?
pump it into web2.0calc, shuffle a few brackets until you get what you want?

be more specific?
perhaps ..
move left (-ve) one step ie -1
move right (+ve) three steps ie 03
from where you're now standing?
you end up ...
two steps (02)
from where you started?

how make 15 + (22/4) = 6 ?
use modulo arithmetic
eg ...
15 + (22/4) = 15 + 5.5 = 20.5
with 20.5 take the floor = 20
then do (20 modulo 14) = 6
or ...
with 20.5 take the ceiling = 21
then do (21 modulo 15) = 6
where
modulo is an arithmetic operator?

(14*7)*X = 14*(7*X)
shows the property of "associativity" for *
more generally, the associative law for operator *
says for any X, Y, Z that (X*Y)*Z = X*(Y*Z)

((floor((127/22) + 0.5)) * 21) = $126
more generally ...
NDVD = number of dvd's
RHOLDS = number of dvd's held per rack
PDVD = price of a single dvd
CRACKS = cost for racks
CRACKS = ((floor((NDVD/RHOLDS) + 0.5)) * PDVD)

there is likely a countably infinity of real solutions?
however, if you simply stay with integer solutions
clearly, there is no "square" solution
for a rectangle of height H and breadth B and perimeter P
H = ((P- (2 * B))/2) where here P = constant = 78
eg
B ... Rectangle ... P
1 ... (1 x 38) ... 78
2 ... (2 x 37) ... 78
3 ... (3 x 36) ... 78
4 ... (4 x 35) ... 78
and so on ...
