Using properties of logarithms we get:
log2(16^(1/4)) + log2(49^(1/2))
log2(2) + log2(7)
log2(2 x 7)
log2(14)
Don't let all the notation confuse you. Once you know the properties of logarithms, it just becomes a rearranging game

You know she bought one drink for $2.99, TWO bags of chips for $1.29 each, and some gallon quantity, (X), of gasoline at $2.79.
$2.99+(2 x $1.29) + $2.79x = y, where y is the total amount of money spent at the convenience store.
$2.99+$2.58+$2.79x = y
$5.57 + $2.79(x) = y

cos^2(38) is the same as saying (cos(38))^2. Plug that into your calculator, making sure it is in degree mode and using proper parenthesis.

3^4 is 3*3*3*3 so 3*3 is 9 and 9*9 is 81 so 3 to the 4th power is 81

(x-1)(x+3) to get the values of x you set each part of the problem equal to 0 so x-1=0 and x+3=0 and then you get x by itself so x=1 and x=-3
i hope this helps :)

so with 1/4+1 1/2 you have to make 1 1/2 a fraction which would be 3/2 so now you have the equation 1/4 + 3/2 now you have to find the common denominator which is 4 so now you have 1/4 + 6/4 then you add the numerators of both of the fractions to get 7/4 then you would reduce the fraction to 1 3/4
i hope this helped

so you have to get rid of one variable first to get the value of one. so i multiplied 3a-4b=10 by 4 to get 12a-16=40 and 3b+4a=6 by -3 to get -12a-9b=-18 and added them together to get -25b=22. then you get b by itself and you get b= -0.88. then you go back to the original equations and put the value of b in instead of the variable to get a=2.16 so if a=x and b=y the point of intersection would be (2.16,-0.88) but if b=x and a=y it would be (-0.88,2.16)
hope this helped

so 1000mL = 1L
if you have 0.603L to get the number of mL:
0.603L x
1000mL
= 603mL
1L

Well since the formula is A squared plus B squared = C squared you plug in the 9 for A squared and the 12 for C squared so it looks like 9 + B squared = 12 then you take 9 squared and 12 squared 9 squared = 81 while 12 squared = 144. Then you set up a equation. 81(9 squared) + b squared= 144(12 squared). Now you subtract 144 - 81 = 63. So your equation becomes 81 + 63 = 144 Since your solving for B and not B squared you must find the square root of 63 which is 7.9. Your final answer is 7.9 or the other side of your triangle is 7.9. Hope I helped!

Yes It's very simple. All you do is a squared plus b squared = c squared. Heres an example. so say one side of the triangle is 3 and the other side is 4 so first you square the 3 which is 9 then you square the 4 which is 16. Next we add the two squared numbers which is 9+16. that = 25. now we have completed the formula but there is still one last step. The squared number(25) is not the final number. You have to find the square root of 25. Since we squared everything we have to find the squared root. the square root of 25 is 5. 5 is your correct answer! Hope I helped

1/4*1/4*1/4*1/4*1/4*1/4.
Numerator = 1*1*1*1*1*1, or 1
Denomenator= 4*4*4*4*4*4, or 4096.
Therefore it is (1/4096)

(90-x)=3
1) Put all the variables in the left side and the constants, in right side. Remember: Be careful with the signs; (ex: -x=3-90)
2)Subtract 90 to 3. (ex: 3-90= -87; so -x= -87)
3) Divide -x and -87 by -1.
-x = -87
---- -----
-1 -1
So X =87

height = base * 2
area = height * base =
h * b =
(2b) *b =
2b^2 = 128
so b^2=128/2 = 64 so b = 8
h = 2b = 2*8 = 16
so base = 8 height = 16
