I think you mean inverse sin. Sometimes called arcsin
NOTE: inverse sin is totally different from (sin x) ^-1 which means 1/sinx

sin 30 ^o = 1/2 = 0.5
therefore
arcsin 0.5 = 30 ^o
or it might be written as
sin ^-10.5 = 30degrees

on a calc you press
asin 0.5=
or
inv sin 0.5 =

You just have to be very careful that the calculator is displaying degrees rather than radians. This is a common error.

Jim Beam, your method is a good one although the answer should have been 38.3 x 10 ⁵ ,
also it should then be changed back to scientific notation 3.83 x 10 ⁶ OR just written as an ordinary number.

(3.4 x 10^6) + (4.3 x 10^5)
The best way to do this on a calc is
3.4 exp 6 + 4.3 exp 5
If you use the exp button DO NOT put in any 10s.

Subtracting fractions is really easy tbh
All you have to do is get the denominators to be the same and afterwards you just subtrat the numerators.
Multiplying fractions is obviously easier all you do is multiply the numerators across and then the denominators.
however, when dividing fractions always remember ((keep, change, flip)) its helps
The first fractions stays the same, the division sign turns into a multiplication sign and then you turn the last fraction into its reciprocal and just multiply across.
To find the answer to your equation you must solve for x. In other words just divide 2/4 and 1/2 which wold give you the value to ex.

initial reaction is to set x=0 since the X intercepts are the values where X=0, since there's an exponent i think it gives you +40 and - 40. second reaction is to use a graphing calculator, plug in equation and look at table or graph.

okay so you have 16z+3(24z-6)-(7+31z)
you must first distribute my teacher gave me a list when i was in pre-algebra
steps to solving multi step equations
~distribute
~clear fractions
~combine like terms(variables) on same side
~combine variables on opposite sides
~add/subtract
~multiply/divide

so you take 3 times 24, 3 times negative 6 and get 16z+72z-18-(7+31z)

now distribute the negative so you get 16z+72z-18-7-31z

got that far? Now it is pretty simple you add 16z and 72z getting 88z then subtract 31z getting 57z making it 57z-18-7

the final step is to take negative 18 and subtract 7 which equals -25 making the answer 57z-25
