I'm not sure
You can integrate and function and then graph it, but you would have to be aware that the vertical position of each point is not fixed because of the constant which is added. The general shape of the graph would be correct.
I'm not sure that you can do it directly from the graph, without using calculus to integrate.

I'm sorry but this is not an equation because it does not have an equal sign.
it is not a question either.

Your question is too general.

Remember, calculators are not all the same.
5 and a half would often go is as
5 fractionbutton 1 fractionbutton 2
3 quarters would go is as
3 fractionbutton 4
Does that help?

Ok, thanks maths lover but it still doesn't make sense. I'll put my problems with the question in red.
in 1984 near ly 14% of all adults has no close friends.
On average the increase is 0.72% per year?
in 2006 it was 23.7 %
If it increased by 0.72% per year it would not be 23.7% in 2006. It would be 16.4%
write and equations nth term that gives the equation that has no close friends in 1983

they meant that in 1984 14% of adults had no close friends. They say that the average amount of aults that have close friends that increased is 0.72% but the increase was 23.7%. Now they are asking you to put together a math term that shows that 14% of adults had no close friends. Melody that is what the person meant

You are much more likely to get a good answer if you post your question in a more advanced forum.
You could try the one above.

(x,y): y = 2x + 1 y = x/2 + 4
Since y equals both those expressions it is easiest just to say
2x+1 = x/2 +4
then multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the fraction
and I am hoping you can do it from there.
When you get your answer, plug the numbers back into the original equations to check that they are correct.

You can do this yourself
plug in a value for x
then plug in the number that is 1 less for x
And, see what the difference is.
For example you might use 3 then 2
or
1 then 0
or
200 then 199
You will get the same answer whatever numbers you choose.

Since subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive 3 minus -1 is the same as 3 + 1, which is of course 4.

winthropA:
(x,y): y = 2x + 1 y = x/2 + 4
I think -x/2+y=4
-2x=-1 therefore you multiply one of those with -1 so as to make y vanish. => x/2=-4
-2x=-1
so x=10/3 and y =17/3 i dont know if that's what you asked for but it's better than nothing
