Yes, Melody, that is the easiest.....we could also find it by the Method of Co-Factor Expansion, but that's more difficult.....!!!

I don't know about easiest but this is pretty easy.

if you mean inverse trig it is called arc trig here

atan, acos and asin    

(3+4i)-(-5+2i)

=(3+4i)-1(-5+2i)

=3+4i+5-2i

=2i+8

just multiply all the numbers together.

12.855

Does that make sense ???   (make sure your calculator is set to degree mode....)
