I'm going to assume that the pyramid has a square base equal to that of the cube. If so....the cube will be a prism that has the same base and height as the pyramid. And the volume of prism is three times that of its associated pyramid.....so.......the cube has a voume of 54 cu ft

There are only 2 ways to draw alternate colors  .... BWBWBW.......etc.    or   WBWBWB......etc.

There is no real number solution for this.....

The quantity under the square root has to be > 0.....and as large as it could be is when x = 0

But, this gives us the square root of 1  which equals 1......and that can never equal 1.046....!!!

 I think you're saying

C(20, n) + C(20,10)  = C(21, 11)    if so....subtract C(20,10) fom both sides

C(20,n)  = C(21, 11) - C(20, 10)

C(20, n)  = 167960

And  ... C(20, 9)  = 167960    and therefore..... C(20, 11)   equals the same

So...the sum of these "n's"  =  9 + 11   = 20

You would multiply it by the two. In math, whenever something is in perentheses that ususally means that you multiply it by the number in front of it (think of distributive property). For example, 2(1/3)+3 you would multiply 2 by 1/3 and add 3. 

In your case, 2*3/2 is 6/2 or 3 and then add -7, which gives you -4.

You have to do (2*(3/2))+(-7)

2(3/2)+-7   .....we don't have to do anything with it.....just distribute the "2" outside the parentheses across it....so we have....

2 * 3/2  - 7 =

3 - 7  =

-4

If you have a scientific calculator then you just look for the negative sign with the perentheses (-) around it.

But, if you have a, TI-30XA calculator then you look for the arrows that have the +- around them.

Or just simply, do a subtraction sign then the number that you add or subtract and you'll find your answer.
