Yes.  Just type in your quadratic equation and hit the = sign.  For example:

Mia spent one third of her money on lunch. At lunch, her friend gave her $2.50 to repay a loan. Then Mia spent $3.25 for a movie ticket and $.75 for a snack. She had $4.90 left. How much did Mia have before lunch

Okay so she currently has $4.90

Before the snack she had $4.90+$0.75 = $5.65

Before the movie ticket she had $5.65+$3.25 = $8.90

Before her friend repaid her loan she had $8.90 - $2.50 = $6.40

Since she spent one third on lunch, this amount is two third of the original amount.

Since this is two third and we therefore we need to add one thrid to get the original amount we have.

Amount before lunch = $6.40 + $6.40/2 = $6.40 + $3.20 = $9.60

We are getting a lot of questions at the moment - more than we can handle but a lot of people are less serious about needing answers.  I am definitely not trying to put you off, I am just suggesting that if you don't get an answer after a few hours you can repost.  That is fine.  You probably won't need to we answer most questions quickly.

Cos is given by the x value which is 0

sin is given by the y value which is -1

so

$$cot(-90)=\frac{cos(-90)}{sin(-90)}=\frac{0}{-1}=0$$

First you need to know that inverse cos is the same as arc cos

that is  $$cos^{-1}\theta = acos\theta$$

Now, there is 2 ways to bring up acos,

You can press '2nd' then 'cos' which is the same as most hand calculators work

or

you can press 'cos' just a little longer than usual and it will display as acos

The display is in the display bar at the top.  Give it a go and you will see what I mean.  

By the binomial theorem

$$(x+a)^n = \sum\limits_{k=0}^n {n\choose k}x^ka^n^-^k$$

Now you can either spend a lifetime figuring how to solve such a massive equation (given the fact that we have 6121 terms and we're looking at x/17) or you can spend a lifetime trying to program something which will solve it for you.

Since Mallori lives next door to the drum player and wasn't the guitar player, she's the pianist and this leaves jackson with the drums.

For division, you flip the second fraction. ( 3/5 would be 5/3) and then you multiply.

Addition and subtraction are harder to explain. You need a common denominator (the hard to explain part) and from there, you just add or subrtract the top number like regular numbers. :)
