it depends how they are measuring the angle.

If the angle is 15deg from the vertical then

$$depth=24\cos(15deg)\approx 23.2 ft$$

If the angle is 15deg from the horizontal then

$$depth=24\sin(15deg)=6.2ft$$

I have just taken a look at your answer.  I have never seen anyone do it like that before. 

It is easiest if you swap them around so that you put the one with the fewest terms first.

Now, in the first bracket you have 2 terms, the first is 3n² and the second is -5

what you have to do is take the first term and multiply it with the second bracket and then take the second term and multiply it by the second bracket.  If there was a third term you would do that next. so

$$3n^2(2n^3+3n-2)+(-5)(2n^3+3n-2)\\\\
=(3n^2\times2n^3+3n^2\times 3n-3n^2\times2)+(-5\times 2n^3+-5\times 3n--5\times 2)\\\\
=6n^5+9n^3-6n^2+(-10n^3+-15n--10)\\\\
=6n^5+9n^3-6n^2-10n^3-15n+10\\\\
=6n^5-n^3-6n^2-15n+10$$

You can set this up just like a basic multiplication problem.

                    2n³+3n -2

x                        3n² -5

------------------------------------

             -10n³       -15n + 10

+    6n⁵ +9n³ -6n²

--------------------------------------

6n⁵ -n³ -6n² -15n +10

Neither your question nor your answer makes much sense!

If it is an annuity then it is an amount paid to you each time period.  Or an amount that you pay out each time period.  But if you want to know how much will be there after 5 years then you have to know how long the $1345 would last before it runs out.

$1345 is a very small amount for an annuity.  Are you sure that this is not just a compound interest question?

Please check your question.  The more I look at it the more confused I get.  I simply does not make sense.

Actually the question that you have tried to answer is what will be the future value if $1345 is deposited at the beginning of every month.  Was this the question?

You are correct, ND.....we could only give a general  formula, but that's all....we would have to know the number of sides.

2x - 2 - 7x = 18 - 5x - 20

-5x - 2  =  -2 - 5x      add 5x to both sides

Yeah....the sine relates the opposite and hypoteneuse.......that wouldn't work here....

I just got that too I guess I did it wrong the first time because I got 35.7 by using the sin function
