Basically the question asker is wanting you to reduce this fraction.

Think what number you could divide both the top and the bottom numbers by to come out with a whole number (not a decimal point. ex: 7.444)

Then, once you get a reduced fraction, see if you can reduce it again by dividing the top and bottom again. If you cannot do this and get a whole number, your fraction is fully reduced!

See if you can solve this question with the information I've just given you.

So, 9.5 x 10 = 95 sq ft

So we have

95 sq ft x (1 sq yd / 9 sq ft) = (10+5/9) sq yd ≈ 10.55 sq yd

Kool-Aid......if you're going to "steal" answers....at least make them LOOK a LITTLE different from the original !!! Why would you do this??? When B is turned on A has put 3.6(2) = 7.2 litres of water into the tank So there remain 55.2-7.2 = 48 liters to fill.So we have:

3.6T + 2.4T = 48where T is the time it takes to fill the rest of the tank...Simpifying we have

6T = 48

T = 8 minutes

So, since B was on for 8 minutes it put 2.4(8) = 19.2 liters into the tank.
