How do I solve this expression using distributive property? -(a-15)

what is 1 +/- cot(a) as a product? PLZ

As a product of what?

whats 0 to the power of 0 is undefined

\(a(a+2)=a^2+2a\)

It is a stupid question but I suppose you could add that x >=60

It is 60 for a regular triangle so it is obviously bigger than that for any other regular polygon.

It says to set up the inequality like this:

Huh??   There is no inequality.

There is however a formula 

The interior angle sum of any polynomial is     (n-2)*180     degrees     WHERE  n is the number of sides

This is easy to show pictorially, starting with a triangle and then adding sides and finding the number pattern.

so the angle size of one internal angle of a regular polygon is

\(\boxed{angle=\dfrac{180(n-2)}{n}}\)

In your question the angle is called x

Looking at my picure I just thought of a much better way to do this :

I can see that the dark green arc is  3/7 of the circle.

So the angle at the centre that issubtend by this arc must be    \(\frac{3}{7}*360=\frac{3*360}{7}\)

Now a very commonly used circle property is that the angle at the centre subtended by an arc is twice the angle at the circumference subtended by the same arc.

so the angle at the circumference, which is one of the points of the star must be   \(\dfrac{1}{2}*\dfrac{3*360}{7}=\dfrac{3*360}{2*7}\)

So the angle sum of all points of the star is   \(7*\dfrac{3*360}{2*7}=\dfrac{3*360}{2}=3*180=540^\circ\)

This is the order of operations. When doing a problem, you have to follow this order.

(   Also, multiplication and division have the same priority,

    and addition and subtraction have the same priority.

(x - 9) ( x +1)  = 0

Set both factors to 0

add 9 to both sides                               subtract1 from both sides

x =  9                                                x  =  -1
