This wrap is super late today and that is because I was in Central Sydney to see the Vivid.  This is a Lazer Light show that runs for about a week at this time each year.

You only usually talk about like terms when you add or subtract algebra.

Plus you cannot suddenly introduce addition into a multiply and divide only question.

This is the one I wanted you to do.

It is different from the one you did before because you made a copy error.

In the other one you did 51/14    NOT   14/51       

so do this one please.

When you can do everything with numbers I will introduce you to algebra slowly so that you will understand.

BUT I want you to be competant with numbers first!

You can use LaTex too, but not if it makes the question too hard :/

4% of X + 3% of Y = 194            and             X+Y=5200  multiply by 4

0.04X+0.03Y=194  multiply by 100

4X+3Y=19400    (1)                       and              4X+4Y=20800   (2)

(2) - (1)

4X-4X+4Y-3Y=20800-19400

Y=$1400

X=$5200-$1400 = $3800

(This is based on simple interest)

if you want 5/6 as a decimal just put it in as 5/6
