I think that the question is supposed to be
5:(x+2)=4:x
$$\\\frac{5}{x+2}=\frac{4}{x} \\\\
\frac{x+2}{5}=\frac{x}{4}\qquad \mbox{I turned both sides upside down}\\\\
\frac{20(x+2)}{5}=\frac{20x}{4}\qquad \mbox{I multiplied both sides by 20}\\\\
4(x+2)=5x\qquad \mbox{}\\\\$$
You should be able to do it from here.
