Use distance formula
d2 = ( 6- -6)2 + ( 6 - -3)2 solve for 'd' note that this equation gives you d2
Slope = (y1-y2) / (x1-x2) = -12/-27 = 12/27 = 4/9
point slope form using -18, -2
( y+2) = 4/9 ( x + 18) can you do the other point ( the end result ....if you expand them , will be the same)
Hey there,
Given the X rule (I don't know if this is what it is actually called), we know that the two given angles are equal to eachother so we can just use some rearranging to find what y is
11y-110=4y-5
7y=105
y=15
Thus PTS will be 11(15-10)=55 degrees
Hope this helped :)
The two angles are equal 11(y-10 ) = 4y -5 solve for 'y' then pts = 11 ( y-10)
x = mik age
g = gab age = x + 13
x + x+13 = 113
2x = 100
x = mik age = 50 y/o

10/12 = 5/6
Hey there!
Gabrielle will be 63
Mikhail will be 50
Since 63+50=113 and 63−50=13
Here is a way to solve:
The formula for the area of a pentagon is as follows:
Area=14√5(5+2√5)∗a2
Since all sides are equal to 5cm, just sub this into "a" to get the area:
Area=14√5(5+2√5)∗52≈43.01194cm2
You want the nearest tenth so your answer will be: 43.0cm2
Volume of a cone = 1/3 r2 h units3
r = 6 h = 8 plug in these values and calculate
Here is what it SHOULD look like
x^2 + 10x = 96
(x+5)^2 = 96 + 25
(x+5)^2 = 121
(x+5) = +-11
x = 6 x = -16
Excellent work, Melody!!!
Cosine in a right triangle is defined as adjacent side / hypotenuse
adjacent side for cos a is 8ft
do you know how to use the Pythagorean theore to find the hypotenuse ?
By complementary counting, there are 12!/(4!*4!*4!) - 6!/(2!*2!*2!) = 34560 possible paths.
The matrix is (2−1−10)
Use the angle formula.
fat ingredients = final fat amount
.10x + .35(15-x) = .20 (15)
solve for 'x' the amount of 10% to use then 35% amount = 15-x
LCM 4 5 8 = 40 convert to denominator 40
yellow = 50/40 green = 48/40 blue = 35/40
total ( 50 + 48 + 35) / 40 = 133/40
Now use 3/4 gal of each ( 3/4 is 30 /40 )
133/40 - 3 * 30/40 = 43/40 = 1 3/40 gal paint left
Original area 2 ( 6*2 + 6*9 + 2*9) = 168 in^2
double h (from 9 to 18) area 2 ( 6*2 + 6*18 + 2*18) = 312 in^2 Fixed typo
double w ( from 2 to 4 ) area 2 ( 6*4 + 6*9 + 4*9) = 228 in^2
Doubling w will use (312 - 228) = 84 in2 less material
Interior angles of triangle sum to 180
(11x-9) + 6x-2 + 72 = 180 solve for 'x'
and
30 + ( 5y-8) + 11x-9 = 180 (use the value of x yo found above) solve for 'y'
Just use calculator
3.8646/.0076 = 508.5
Circle B is larger!!!
square base 9*9
PLUS 4 triangle sides (area = 1/2 b*h) 4 * 1/2* 9 * 9.2 Add the reds for final answer......
The ratio is 4pi / 9pi or 4/9
Original area 2 x 5 = 10 cm2
Now double the base from 5 to 10
New area = 2 x 10 = 20 cm2 = 2 times the original area
