Sorry, I can't picture what the answer would/should be.

The point-slope form is:  y - y1  =  m(x - x1)

If you call the point (4,6) =(x1,y1)

and if you find the slope:  m  =  (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

                                     m  =  (5 - 6) / (1 - 4)  =  -1 / -3  =  1/3

Substitting these into the point-slope form:  y - 6 = (1/3)(x - 4)

             multiplying both sides by 3:         3y - 18  =  1(x - 4)

             simplifying:                                 3y - 18  =  x - 4

                                                               -x + 3y  =  14

                                                                 x - 3y  =  -14

I'm doing this work for an online class, and my answer thing is using a drag and drop system for this question, and there's no variable I can use for m. I don't know what to do

You won't get a specific, definite answer, but you can get this:

Using the point-slope form for a line:  y - y1  =  m(x - x1)

--->  y - 5  =  m(x - 3)

--->  y - 5  =  mx - 3m

--->  y  =  mx  - 3m + 5

--->  -mx + y  =  -3m + 5

--->  (-m)x + y  =  -3m + 5

which is standard form with an unknown value for m.

The limit doesn't exist because the cosine doesn't approach a particular value as x gets larger.....it always oscillates between -1 and 1.......

ok so in my opinion before the teacher chooses you then dont try to act so smart and intelligent , try to pay attention and show that you are trying to understand what shes teaching in this way , teachers like such kids and then drop the idea of choosing them and choose the ones who are talking and acting brilliant!(dont know for you but it works for me )

or if u cant do this then simply say " i am sorry Sir (or ma'am) i dont know the answer) , but then after this you may get some scolding as for not paying attention )

They all look too simple.   

I've got a couple that you have already given me.  I can play around with those some more.

But a stack more (with worked answers ) would be really good.

1) Hide under the table.

2) Feign laryngitis

3) Skip class

4) Throw a sickie and stay home all day

5) Bribe the teacher with roses or a bottle of vodka

6) Commit some terrible misdemeanour and get sent to the principal's office instead.

7) .....

You can come up with some more ideas I am sure.  :)

Sorry Melody, in my last reply I confused part of question 1 with question 2.

As far as question 2d is concerned, if the body is travelling in a circle the velocity is changing (though the speed might not be).

2a) Any acceleration will change the velocity, so 2a) is possible.

and

2 out of 138 = 2/138 = 1/69
