I do not know Mathematician.

Maybe another mathematician can come up with something.

6 x 5/3

Turn the 6 into a fraction

6/1 x 5/3

Multiply across

30/3

Simplify

10

-2g = -84

Divide both sides by -2

g = 42

10 x 16 = 160

$$\\T_n=ar^{n-1}\\\\
3*2^{n}>100\\\\
2^{n}>100/3\\\\
log2^{n}>log(100/3)\\\\
nlog2>log(100/3)\\\\
n>log(100/3)\div log2\qquad\\\\$$

$${\frac{{log}_{10}\left({\frac{{\mathtt{100}}}{{\mathtt{3}}}}\right)}{{log}_{10}\left({\mathtt{2}}\right)}} = {\mathtt{5.058\: \!893\: \!689\: \!053\: \!568\: \!6}}$$

n has to be greater than this so 6 days.

-------------------------------------------------

I failed to mention a couple of things here  in this GP sequence a=3 and r=2

but the number wanted is the n+1 because it is the END of that day.  So I changed the sqeuence around a little and made 3 be the 'zero' term and then I was looking for the n'th term.

I hope I didn't s***w it up   That would not be good

Let's first find out how long it takes to travel 400 ft....this is given by

400 = (118.25)cos(35)t

t = about 4.13 sec

Let y = 0 be the original height....then we would be looking for how many inches it would clear a 7 ft wall

So we have

y = -16(4.13)^2 + 118.25sin(35)(4.13) = 7.2 ft....and this is the heightt in ft at 4.13 sec

So...it clears the all by about .2 ft = 2.4 inches

thanks Saseflower

but where are your conversion units or working.

Remember the aim is always to try and teach people how to do things without asking anyone.\

to anon.

You would have been getter to google this

Thans Lola but don't forget to add the units

Just one final question. Can you explain it without Trigonmetry (cosines)? I haven't learned that yet.

The common ratio is given by

$$\\r=T_{n+1}\div T_{n}\\\\
so \\
r= \frac{-5}{3}\div\frac{-3}{5}\\\\
r= \frac{-5}{3}\times\frac{-5}{3}\\\\
r= \frac{25}{9}\\\\\\
OR\\
r= \frac{-125}{27}\div\frac{-5}{3}\\\\
r= \frac{-125}{27}\times\frac{3}{-5}\\\\
r= \frac{25}{9}\times\frac{1}{1}\\\\
r= \frac{25}{9}$$

IN FACT ANY TERM DIVIDED BY THE TERM BEFORE IT WILL GIVE THE COMMON RATIO

Since 1 foot is 0.304,then 8  feet is 2.432

Nine plus ten is nineteen(9+10=19)

There are 2.4384 meters in 8 feet

The bacteria will reach 100+ on day 6.

The vertex of a quadratic equation or parabola is the highest or lowest point of that equation. It lies on the plane of symmetry of the entire parabola as well; whatever lies on the left of the parabola is a complete mirror image of whatever is on the right. If you want to find the vertex of a quadratic equation, you can either use the vertex formula, or complete the square.

P.S. I found this off a website since I haven't done that yet... sorry!

Multiply 12 times days in a year and you should get 4380. Then

multiply 4380 by 15 which will give you how much he/she makes a year, 16700.

Finally multiply 16700 by 19 and your final answer is 1248300.

The answer is 21.

The answer is 19

Thanks!

Here you go.....

The Law of Cosines is this

c^2  = a^2 + b^2 - 2(a)(b)cos(theta)

Where c is the opposite side to the angle "theta" ....and "theta" is the included angle between sides a and b.

So...... in the circle, a and b are radii = 9  ....and since there are three equal sides of the triangle, each side spans an arc of 120 degrees.

10/100 = x/460

Cross multiply

100x = 4600

Divide by 100 on both sides

x = 46

3/16

Divide 3 by 16

0.1875

5/8

Divide 5 by 8

0.625

9 + 10 = 21
