what is angle if opposite is 20 and hypotenuse 770?
It will be a very tiny angle
sin(theta) = 20/770
inv sin (2/77) = 1 degree 29minutes and 18seconds

For this answer I'll be using your first example: x/9 = 8/12
In the simplest terms, what the equation is saying is that x/9
is equal to
8/12. I'm assuming that the question is asking to find x, and I'll demonstrate the steps for that below.
With algebra, we do the inverse functions (i.e. multiply becomes divide, addition becomes subtraction, etc.) to find the unknown value, following inverse BEDMAS/BODMAS/BIDMAS/PEDMAS etc. etc. etc., and doing to one side what we do to the other From this, we can state that:
x/9 = 8/12
therefore
9(x/9) = 9*(8/12)
therefore
x = 9*(2/3)
therefore
x = 6

x/9 = 8/12 I dont understand this or 1/4 x= 6
x/9 = 8/12
Write these fractions upright.
Now you need to get rid of the 9 on the left hand side so if you multiply by 9/1 it will cancel out.
If you multiply the left by 9/1 you have to multiply the right side by 9/1 as well.
x/9 * 9/1 = 8/12 * 9/1
x = 72/12
x = 6
The other one is similar , you will need to multiply both sides by 4
This you tube clip may help you.
I think you should look at it.

why don't you understand it? I could answer better if I understood your problem better.
you have to do the brackets first
then you do times and divide - they are equally important just do them from, left to right. The fraction line is a divide sign. (1/2 = 1 divided by 2 : they are the same thing)
last you do the addition
so you should have the question and 3 lines of working.
Show me your working now and I will tell you if it is correct.
Or , if you just do it on the calculator exactly as it is written you will get the correct answer.

How can you add brackets in this question?
5x3-2x10-3=47
I just realised what your question really was sorry, I got a bit carried away.
maybe just
5x3 - 2x10 -3 = 47
5x3 -3 -2x10 = 47
5x3 - 1x3 -2x10 = 47
5 lots of 3 takeaway 1 lot of 3 = (5-1) lot of 3 = 3 lots of (5-1) = 3 x (5-1)
5x3 - 1x3 -2x10 = 47
3 x (5-1) - 2 x10 = 47
Is that more what you had in mind?

How can you add brackets in this question?
5x3-2x10-3=47
do you mean 5x^3 - 2x^10 - 3 = 47 ?
If you want to factorise properly you would change it to
You'd change it to 2x^10 - 5x^3 +50 = 0
then look for factors.
The only possible rational factors are +- ( 1,2,5,25,50,0.5,2.5, 12.5) Using rational root theorem
Using remainder theorem I can see that;
no minus one will work so that halves the possibilities
2 or bigger won't work
1 doesn't work
0.5 doesn't work
so there are no rational roots so I can't factorise
However, I suppose you could say
5x^3 - 2x^10 - 3 = 47
x^3(5 - 2x^7) = 50
It wouldn't be very useful for anything but it does have brackets and it is true.

Translation
Why the calculator is not available in several languages and so only in English? Because personally, it would be much more understandable if the calculator had been programmed in several languages.
Yes, I think non-English speaking people often have to be much cleverer than people who speak English as a first language do.
Sometimes the impediments don't seem fair or necessary.
I sympathise with you.
I hope this translates well.

Determine the angle when the adjacent measurement is 4.870 in and the opposite angle is 3.900 in
Your question doesn't make sense.
I could guess what you were talking about but there would be more than one 'guess' involved.

First you need to expand the second bracket.
And this is the long version of how it is done.
− (x − 6y + 3z)
= -1 * (x − 6y + 3z)
= -x + 6y - 3z

okay, I've got a much better answer
find the smallest positive integer b which satisfies 3^56=b(mod7)
3^56 = 3^(54+2) = 3^54 * 3^2 = (3^6)^9 * 9
3^6 = 729
729/7=104 remainder 1 = 1 mod 7
9 = 2 mod 7
1 mod 7 * 2 mod 7 = 2 mod 7
b=2

Your question boils down to a geometric series, and is basically:
1+2+2^1+2^2+....+2^64
the general answer for a geometric series =a(1-r^m)/(1-r); where a=initial term(here 1), r=multiplicative factor(2 here because you are doubling in the next square ), m=number of terms(64, since a chess board has 64 squares)
hence, ans=1*(1-2^64)/(1-2)=2^(64)-1
that is, you need 2^(64)-1 grains of rice, which is a huge number!! It is approximately 2 thousand million billion grains of rice! Assuming you stack the grains of rice width wise, each grain has a width ~ 1/2 mm. This would require a length of 500 billion miles, whereas the Earth's circumference is only 25000 miles.
Hence, you would require 20000 million Earths, with rice stacked along the circumference, to fit your rice!!

3^{56} = 523 347 633 027 360 537 213 511 521
523 347 633 027 360 537 213 511 521 / 7 = 74 763 947 575 337 219 601 930 217 with remainder 2
So find the smallest positive integer b which satisfies 3^56=b(mod7)
b=2
I don't think there can be any other answer, assuming I copied the number down right and did the division correctly (I did it by hand).
I had help from another forum just to get 3^56. My calculator couldn't handle it.
There might be another way to do this but I don't know it. If I get any other info I will pass it on to you.

First you have to define how much is 50% from 598$. You get 299$ and then you count 598$-299$=299$.
