The "Parentheses" and "Exponents" part is correct.
But, multiplication and division are done at the same level of precedence........this means that we perform whichever of these comes first as we move from left to right....!!!!
For instance......
20 ÷ 5 x 2
It is incorrect to multiply 5 x 2, first, and then perform the divison second. This results in an answer = 2.
The correct order is to divide the 20 by 5 and then multiply this result by 2 = 8. Note that this is quite different from 2 !!!!
Addition and subtraction are also performed at the same level of precedence, but these usually don't cause too much of a problem. It's usually the multiplication/division that give people trouble.......
