I am not sure how to go about solving this equation: 9.1-3.1 over the square root of 4 divided by 5. Do I start with the subtract?

9.1-3.1=6

6/2/5=3/5 which your answer.

Are you one of the developers of this calculator? If not, why are you so defensive about an online calculator that's defective?. It HAS a mistake in it & help to correct it!.Don't try to justify a mistake on a calculator, especially a very important function in Math such as Gamma function. It "doesn't take forever to calculate 10^6!. Besides, you may need only, say, the 1st. 1000 digits to compare it, for example, to an asymtotic formula, such as Sterling Formula to find out how accurate your approx. is. Just for you info, I ran the first 10,000 digits and it only took it a few seconds!!!!!!!.

There are different ways to proceed, depending upon what you know.

Do you know:  a)  the length of the radius of the regular polygon and the number of sides?

     or                b)  the length of the radius and the length of one side of the polygon?

     or                c)  the length of one side of the polygon and the number of sides? 

A factorial of 10^6! would take a long time for even super fast computer to do. The java program would take weeks if it do it at all.

a² + b² + c²  is the Pythagorean formula.

Of a, b, an c, which one is √2 and which one is 10?

Find a common denominator:  3 x 4 x 17  =  204

Write each of the fractions with this denominator:  

1/3  =  (1 x 4 x 17) / (3 x 4 x17)  =  68/204        Multiply both the numerator and denominator by 4 x 17.

1/4  =  (1 x 3 x 17) / (3 x 4 x 17)  =  51/204       Multiply both the numerator and denominator by 3 x 17.

3/17  =  (3 x 3 x 4) / (3 x 4 x 17)  =  36/204       Multiply both the numerator and denominator by 3 x 4.

1/3 + 1/4 + 3/17  =  68/204 + 51/204 + 36/204  =  (68 + 51 + 36)/204  =  155/204

I know that SOME calculators subract 1 from the number you enter & take its gamma value. But that's irrelevant!. If you are interested in "Number Theory" you need to take the factorial of 10^6!for a variety of reasons!!. And it's nice to know THERE IS a calculator that can do that FOR FREE!. You can always buy a math package, such as Wolfram, which will cost you hundreds of dollars, to do the same thing.....etc.

The degree is -4 Over a seven day period it drops 3 degrees each day. Writ as a multiplication

You can try this: -4+(7x-3)=-4+(-21)=-25 degrees.

This site calculator only looks puny to you because you not know how to use it.

Also, if it did equal 0 your answer is not correct.   The answer would simply be x-5=0  so  x=+5
