Use the inverse sine to find the angle opposite the base

You will have sin^-1(base/hyp) = "theta"

Then, just subtract that from 90...that will give you the other angle.

Of course, I'd probably use the Pythag theorem to find the missing side first, too, since a "two-sided" triangle isn't considered kosher.

A = pi * r^2

A = pi * 4^2

A = pi * 16 = 50.27 units²

It just stays $$x^2+14x$$

So dividing 4*10^7 by 5*10^4, we have

(4/5) * (10^7 / 10^4) =

.8  *  10^3 =

800 times

Or you could just use inverse sin or inverse cos and not bother about finding the hypotenuse first. 

Looks like oskar20106 has more faith in our calculator than he once did!!

Other than that, it’s pretty funny.

The "x" component is given by r cos θ, and the "y" component is given by r sin θ

So x = 5 cos 30°  = 5 (√(3)/2) = 5√(3)/2

And y =5 sin 30°  = 5 (1/2) = 5/2

It used to claim that 1 + 2 = 5.

But....due to revised programming techniques....we've reduced the error by some 20% - or so.

Thus...we're "nudging" it closer to the "truth" by stages.

Final accuracy is expected to be achieved some time this year.....or the next one.

"IS" implies "equal"     "OF" implies "multiply"     2% = .02     "WHAT NUMBER"  = n

So we have

76 = .02 x n      Divide both sides by .02

76 / .02  = 3800

So, the number is 3800

It worked fine for me Andre - I did it on the home calc and on the forum - there is not a problem.

OK....2*2 = 4

So we have 4 / 4 =1

77 = C / (22/7)

Multiplying both sides by (22/7) we have

(22/7) 77 = C   And "canceling" the 7 and 77, we get

22*11 = 242

You could change those improper fractions to mixed numerals!  That would be better.
