Hey! Good question!

If you read this article; http://www.businessinsider.com.au/how-much-is-your-soul-worth-2013-9

it evaluates souls at different prices. However, they also include an average price, at 2.8 million US$. Using also the average price of a regular sized standard (not gourmet) cupcake, as according to divinecupcake.com, it is estimated that Pedro could purchase 1120000 cupcakes. (2800000/2.50)

However, this isn't considering the speed of travel, nor the air resistance. So lets say Pedro is outside his house, which is approximately 30miles from the cupcake store. He is assumed to have a full tank of fuel. It also depends upon which car he happens to be driving. According to forbes.com, an article outlined the world's top selling cars, and at the top of this list is the Toyota Corolla. The standard model comes with a 4-cylinder inline engine, that uses 7 litres/100km. This equates to around about 7litres/62.14 miles. I estimate the fuel tank to be 50-60 litres in size, and considering it is full, I will use 60L. Therefore, considering that the car must be moving at 30mp/h with air resistance to have that as the recorded reading, the maths would look something like:

62.14/30

=2.0713333333333335

7/ans

~3.38 litres used for the journey.

I consider the triangle to be irrelevant, as no values are given for angles or side lengths.

Now, the current US Petrol price average (using US prices for everything, as it is the easiest to find) is as of the 12th of September, at $0.65/litre of fuel. This means that Pedro spent about $2.20 on his journey, which equates to him losing that amount of his total from selling the soul.

2800000-2.20

=2799997.8

Therefore, using all possible statistics and viable options, and using recently evaluated amounts, Pedro can purchase 1119999 cupcakes, as he loses one, because it is impossible to purchase a tenth of a cupcake from the referenced store.

I hope this answered your question, and please don't tell me he wanted to buy jumbo or tiny cupcakes!!!

Thanks!
