The e is the base of the natural logarithm.

  Here are some questions for you.

what is 600*(e^(-5000))=2.021816488985350 x 10^-2169

Simplify the following:
(-3 abs(-15) x)/15

The gcd of -3 and 15 is 3, so (-3 x abs(-15))/15 = ((3 (-1)) x abs(-15))/(3×5) = 3/3×-(x abs(-15))/5 = -(x abs(-15))/5:
(-1 abs(-15) x)/5

Since -15<=0, then abs(-15) = 15:
-(15 x)/5

15/5 = (5×3)/5 = 3:
Answer: |-3 x

Another problem which MIGHT be clearer to you as a RATIO

495 miles / 9 hours =  x / 7hours

SO:

x= 495 miles /9   x  7    (the hours 'cancel')  and you are left with   = 385 miles

I'm not sure what that is...did you transcribe it correctly?

You're welcome.....keep at it !

Thanks

Oh... I see what i did wrong

To find the perimeter you just add all of the side lengths BUT they need to be in the same units.

2.3cm

31mm=3.1cm

.018m = 1.8 cm       Now can you do it???

If you put x= 0 into the equation to find the y-intercept yo will get y= -1/4(0) +2  = 2

    So the y-intercept is (0,2)    <------ you got that one

Put y=0 to find the x-intercept   0 = -1/4(x) + 2

-2 = -1/4x

-2/(-1/4) = x = 8      so the x-intercept is  (8,0)      Do you see?

After a while you will be able to do these almost 'in your head'....in the meantime, let's set this up as a ratio

.75kg/9.60 = 1kg/x     where 'x' is the price you are looking for

x=1kg x L9.60/.75kg     the kg 'cancels' and you are left with = L 12.80

electricpavlov, I got the answer of x= (0.5,0) and y as (0,2) and it is wrong. pls help

You should remember that at the y-intercept, x will = 0    , if you substitute x=0 into the equation you will find the y-intercept.

Similarly , at the x-intercept, y=0 ..substitute y=0 into the equation to get the x-intercept.

Good luck!    Let me know if you need more help.

Expand the following:
(n+4)^2

(n+4) (n+4) = (n) (n) + (n) (4) + (4) (n) + (4) (4):
n n+4 n+4 n+4 4

n n = n^2:
n^2+4 n+4 n+4 4

4×4 = 16:
n^2+4 n+4 n+16

4 n+4 n = 8 n:
Answer: |n^2+8n+16

Peter sold 420 newspapers.

80 remained unsold, which means there were:

420 + 80 =500 newspapers to begin with.

420 / 500 =.84 x 100 = 84% of the newspapers were sold by Peter.

Find the number of ordered pairs of primes (p,q) such that p+q=1003.

Well it seems to me that the only even prime number is 2

and

the only way 2 numbers can add to get a odd number is if one is even and one is odd.

so the only possible answer is  2 and 1001

that is assuming of course that 1001 is prime - I shall use the web 2 calc to help with that.

factor(1001) = (7*11)*13

so 1001 is not prime.

So there are no prime numbers that add to 1003

Mmm i wonder if negative numbers can be prime. - Well not under the usual definition of primes they can't.

Ok I do not believe that there is an ordered pair that satisfies this condition :)

A =4 x Pi x r^2

450Pi =4 x Pi x r^2

450 = 4 x r^2

r =~10.61

V =4/3 x Pi x r^3

V =4/3 x 3.141592 x 10.61

V = 5,003.05 cm^3
