If you have 4-3(e+2)=-25 it would simplify to 4-3e-6=-25, then subtratcting 4 on both sides then adding 6 to both sides. this would equal -3e=-23, then you would divide -23 by -3. This gives you e=7.6 repeating. So you're right.
If you use (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) You will get the same answer.....fyi
