when do you start learning all of this?
I'm assuming that the $600 is the opening balance.....
So....the correct balance is
600 - 178.23 + 363.82 = $785.59
3x + 2y = 1
-9x - 6y = 3
Note, NSS, if we multiply the first equation by -3 we have
-9x - 6y = -3
Note that this system has no solution because -9x - 6y = 3 but it also equals - 3 .....and this is impossible....two things subtracted can't result in two different values !!!
The second answer is the correct one for the second question
Thanks so much, i don't know why i over thinked this. you did it in a different, but similar way. In my class we our doing unit conversions, although you did it in a simple but effective way, where anyone with a microbrain can understand, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
wut do you mean by that?
V3 usually means Version 3, but i have no clue what you are on about if it is maths related
Let the number of hours it takes be " x " .
15 miles / hour * x hours = 3.67 miles
15x = 3.67
x = 3.67/15
x ≈ 0.24
And
It will take about 14 minutes.
-4(y + 6) = 32
Divide both sides of the equation by -4 .
y + 6 = 32 / -4
y + 6 = -8
Subtract 6 from both sides.
y = -8 - 6
y = -14
So, if each item is $1.50, then 3 hot dogs cost $4.50, 2 nachos cost $3.00 and 4 pizzas cost $6.00 and all that together is $13.50.
(14 / 35 ) (3 / 4) = 42 / 140 = 21 / 70 = 3 / 10 ft
5(x - 8) = 60 divide both sides by 5
x - 8 = 12 add 8 to both sides
x = 20
You were correct !!!!
Hey, hectictar.....speed up those answers.....!!!!!!!
Seriously, WhichWitch ?????
We aren't being paid for this......we try to answer as quickly as possible.....but....we can't guarantee anything.....!!!!!
(1/3) [ 3 a 3 2 ]
1 (1/3)(a + 1) (10 + a) / 9
_____________________________________
3 a + 1 (10 + a) / 3 2 + (10 + a) / 9
So
2 + (10 + a) / 9 = 4
(10 + a) / 9 = 2
(10 + a) = 18
a = 8
f(x) = (3x - 7) / (x + 1)
The denominator cannot be zero, so we can't have x + 1 = 0 → x = -1
The domain of f is all values except -1 . (-∞ , -1) U (-1, ∞)
If you solve this for x , you will get x = (y - 7)/(y - 3) .
Now we can see that y cannot be 3 .
Also...the degree of the numerator = the degree of the denominator,
so there is a horizontal asymptote at y = 3/1 = 3 .
So the range of f is all values except 3 . (-∞ , 3) U (3, ∞)
Thanks :D 👍
Sorry.....fixed it.....
The first graph is the correct one, NSS......
See the graph here : https://www.desmos.com/calculator/r3scah60wf
f(x) = (2 - 3x) / (5 - 2x)
f(a) = (2 - 3a) / (5 - 2a) = 3
(2 - 3a) / (5 - 2a) = 3
Multiply both sides by (5 - 2a) .
2 - 3a = 3(5 - 2a) And a ≠ 5/2 .
Distribute the 3 .
2 - 3a = 15 - 6a
Add 6a to both sides.
2 + 3a = 15
Subtract 2 from both sides.
3a = 13
Divide both sides by 3 .
a = 13/3
thanks but the problem was actually -31 not +31 can you do it again please cause I dont know what to do thanks so much
We want to find
3x^2 - 4x = 3(k - x)^2 - 4(k -x)
3x^2 - 4x = 3k^2 - 6kx +3 x^2 - 4k + 4x
8x + 3k^2 - 6kx - 4k = 0
-4 ( k - 2x) + 3k ( k - 2x) = 0
(k - 2x) (3k - 4) = 0
The first factor will not produce a constant.....so.....
3k - 4 = 0
k = 4/3
x^2 + 4x - 31
This parabola turns upward...the x coordinate of the vertex is given by :
-4/ 2 = -2
And the y coordinate of the vertex is given by
(-2)^2 + 4(-2) - 31 = 4 - 8 - 31 = -35 = a
Seriously fast answers would be appriciated
