(9b + 7) =12^1*9 + 7 = 126 in base 10

(b + 7) = 11 + 7 = 18 in base 10

126 / 18 = 7 with no remainder.

Well that's interesting, I can't even see my own diagram either... Thank you for the help Alan, I hope this isn't a permanent problem.  Could it be because of the slow phasing out of Adobe Flash Player from Google Chrome? (I'm just spitballing here)

Strangely, I can see the images from the Answers page, but if I jump into the answer itself I can’t!!

I can't see any of the images....I've noted the problem to the Admin

Currently I’m using an iPad and this particular image is clear. It’s a right-angled triangle, LJK,

angle L is 60deg, hypotenuse LK is 20.

There are other images in other postings which do seem to suffer from the “waiting for moderation” with the iPad.

We have the following terms

2/3  + (2/3)^2  + (2/3)^3   + (2/3)^4 + .....

The common ratio between terms is (2/3)....so....this converges to :

(2/3)  / [ 1 - 2/3]   =

(2/3) / (1/3)  =

(2/3) * (3/1)  =

2

So.....the radius is 3.5

i am working with sigma at the time, i will give this a whirl

so 3n-2 with all numbers from 1-25 plugged and then those added

How come you can see this but I cannot?   All of the Q's, submitted for the last couple of days , with diagrams (INCLUDING answers I submitted with diagrams) STILL display 'waiting for moderation...'   ????

JK = 20sin(60)

Area = (1/2)*LJ*JK

note that cos(60) = 1/2 and sin(60) = sqrt(3)/2
