y = 3x+b

-5 = 3 (-1) + b    solve for b

-5 = -3 + b

-2 = b

y = 3x -2

PQ  =  √ [  6^2  + ( 9 - 5)^2 ] = √ [6^2 + 4^2 ] = √ 52  = 2√13

QR  =√ [ (12 - 6)^2 + 9^2 ]  = √ [36 + 81 ]  = √117 =  3√13

So....the area  =   (1/2) base * height    =   (1/2) * (2 √13) * (3√13)  =  3*13  units^2  = 39 units^2

We are looking for an integer whose sum of its digits  = 1274

Here's a possibility :

S(n)  = 1274  = S ( 7777....7)   where we have 7 repeated 182 times

Note that    7 * 182  =   1274

So....  S ( n + 1) = S( [7777....7] + 1 )  = S(1275)    =  S (555.....5)   where we have 5 repeated 255 times

Note that  255 * 5  =  1275

Take the average of 0 + 27 =27/2 =13.50. And since you have 1,000 numbers, then:

13.5 x 1,000 + 1 =13,501, which is the same as above answer.

Well, you could add them up like this:

000 + 001 + 002 + 003..................996 + 997 + 998 + 999

Add the first and last: 000 + 999 = 27

Add second to second last =001 + 998 =27

Add third to the third from last =002 + 997 =27.......and so on for a total of: 1,000/2 =500

500 x 27 + 1[the last digit of 1,000 itself] =13,501 - which is the sum of all digits from 1-1,000.

Yes...you have it correct !

dont have the time to do them all, but every single one of your insane amount of numbers has a digit sum between 1 and 27.

The question asks what   'could'  the next one be.....and we weren't given any multiple choices...

Each total of boxes increases 17 per week....starting with 16 the first week

  So the formula for n=1 has to result in an answer of 16
