Last one: There are 6 faces, I think, wait, yes! So, the area of the first face, 2nd face: 2(20*10)=2(200)=400yd^2

Area of the 3rd face, 4th face: 2(20*20)=2(400)=800yd^2

Ares of the 5th face, and 6th face: 2(20*10)=2*200=400yd^2.

Thus, the surafce area is 400+400+800=1600yd^2. You're correct!

GCF common factor is the way to solve it! The GCF is 6, because it's the greatest number that evenly divided 12,24, and 30.

The GCF for \(30, 24,\) and \(12\) is \(6\). This means that there will be \(6\) tanks. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not so sure about this one. I may have read it wrong).

You cannot simplify a negative number, because no two same numbers with any positivity have a product that is negative. \(\sqrt{-64} = 8i\). \(i\) stands for an imaginary number.

You just plug in the values, and evaluate the expression. 

b) 

\(x+y=\sqrt{x^2+y^2}\\ (x+y)^2=x^2+y^2\\ x^2+2xy+y^2=x^2+y^2\\ 2xy=0\)

Therefore, either x, y, or both variables have to be 0 for the expression to be equal. 

This works in reverse. If \(x+y\ne\sqrt{x^2+y^2}\), then \(2xy\ne0\).

Using the last equation    z = 3x  - 5

Using (1) and the first equation we get :

Positve/Negative  ..I assume this refers to the range ??...The graph is never negative  for  y...in other words, the range is  [0, infinity )

x intercept  and y intercept  =  (0,0)

How used in the real world.....If you have a sattelite dish....it is a parabola....the satellite beams the signal to the dish...it is reflected back to the focus of the parabola and transmitted to your inside receiver

x+5y=-15   x-5y=-5

Now, we can subtract! 5y--5y=-15--5, 10y=-10, so y=-1.

We can plug the value of y in the first equation, in order to solve for x.

x+5(-1)=-15, x+-5=-15, x-5=-15, x=-10.
