Similar to velocity, linear momentum is a vector quantity, possessing a magnitude and a direction.

This question does not require the use of a vector. The solution is the higher of the two products.

To solve this, first convert the speeds to the same units. Meters per second is the optimal choice.

$$Multiply \ $k/h by 0.2778 to approximate M/s.$$

$$\ 18 \frac{k}{h} \ * \ 0.2778 \ = \ 5 \ meters \ per \ second. \\\
\ 7000Kg \ * \ 5 \frac{m}{s} = 35000 \ Kg-m/s,\ for \ the \ elephant. \\\
74Kg * 31 \frac{m}{s} = 2294 \ Kg-m/s,\ for \ the \ cheetah. \\\$$

The elephant’s momentum is 15.26 times greater than the cheetah’s momentum.

NOTE:  Nothing has been solved.  It has just been simplified!   

You take the 4 biggest numbers, you do not count leading zeros.  (that's 9074, you count the zero that is in the middle

Now you look at the 5th number, if it is 5 or bigger you round the up otherwise you do not. 

The the number is 7, it's a big one so you round up.  The last 4 becames a 5. So the answer is

0.000009075

this would be better written in scientific notation.  It is  9.075 x 10^-6

Here is a thread that will give you some ideas

you need the x on the top.

so you can either multiply both sides by x and then divide both sides by 4.5

OR

i prefer to write 4.5 as 4.5/1

And the I take the reciprocal of both sides (turn them both upside down)

You would then multiply both sides by 525.

As a general rule:

Give them one at a time and try and tell us what your problem is.

If you don't understand ask questions on the same thread.

Think about it before you ask the next question on a new thread.

OK......but see if you can answer some of them before you post......

This one might also be interpreted as.......

[√(6x^3) / √(3x)]  * √(8x^2) =

√(2x^2)   * √(8x^2) =

√(16x^4)  =

4x^2   ......In which case the answer is B.......(I kinda' think A might not be the correct answer because √16 could be simplified further......)

The lack of parenthesis and brackets in some of these questions makes it tough to discern what the intent might be......Parenthesis and brackets aren't just for "show"   !!!!!!

The solutions (roots) are: x = 0 (as Alan noted) and x ≈ .354336....Notice how the lead term "over-powers" the graph very quickly as x moves away from zero in a positive direction. Also, as x gets more and more negative, the first two terms → 0 and the graph has a limit of 1 on the left hand side.....
