Good job, IWTH !!!!
THX, IWant ToHelp !!!!
thank yo so much
I don't agree. This does not fit the question requirements.
Nice job CPhill.
And you don't get the same amount as the initial pay. I will give an example.
Let's say you have $100 monthly.
30% more means $130 monthly. Then 30% less is not $100 monthly. 30% of 130 is 39.
130-39=91.
So you don't get the same amount of pay.
You should be able to take it from here.
i want to know if the raise was 30 % and then it was minus 30% . do i get the same money because is if like nothing happened?. casue he gave me 30 % more and then he said 30% less.
I don't understand this problem. Is this a yes or no question???
I greatly appreciate your effort to answer my question! However, if you use someone else's work, please give them credit.
Thanks,
Caffeine :)
No equation shown, but if we let both car's rate = R we have that
The distance the red car drives + 25 miles = the distance that the blue car drives
3R + 25 = 3.5R
This should help.
She had 3 m left. We can do 8/8 which equals 1. And 5*1=5. 8-5=3.
x + 3y = -5
3y = - x - 5
y = (-1/3)x - 5/3 the slope of the parallel line = -1/3
So....since this line passes through (-7,-2) we have that
y= (-1/3) ( x - - 7) - 2 simplify
y = (-1/3) ( x + 7) - 2
y= (-1/3)x - 7/3 - 2
y = (-1/3)x - 13/3 mutiply through bu 3
3y = -x - 13 put in standard form
1x + 3y = -13 multiply through by -3/13
-(3/13)x - 9/13y = 3
A = -(3/13) B = (-9/13)
B - A =
-9/13 - (-3/13) =
-6/13

We first notice that the area of the shaded region is the area of the square minus the areas of the four quarter circles. Each quarter circle has a radius half the side length, so if we sum the areas of the four quarter circles, we have the area of one full circle with radius 5 cm. Now, we know the area of a square is the square of its side length, so the square has an area of 100 cm sq. A circle has an area of pi times its radius squared, so the four quarter circles combined have an area of pi(5)sq=25pi cm sq. From this, we know that the area of the shaded region is 100-25pi.
To the nearest tenth, find the volume of a sphere with a diameter of 10 cm. Use 3.14 for .
Never mind. I got it.
(145, 154, 289, 298, 334, 343, 478, 487, 523, 532, 667, 676, 712, 721, 856, 865, 901, 910) ==9 such pairs.
it is 9
calculate the slope (y--y2)/(x1-x2) (8-0)/(0 - - 2) = 4
use one point to produce line the in point-slope form
(y-8) = 4(x-0) re-arramnge to y = mx+b form
y - 8 = 4x
y = 4x+8 m = 4 b = 8
(m-7) = 7(y-7) m = mom y = you re-arrange to y = 1/7 m + 6
(m+8) = 2(y+8) or y = 1/2 m - 4 substitute this value into the first equation
equate the two red equations 1/7 m + 6 = 1/2 m -4
10 = 5/14 m so m = mom age now = 28 ( and you = 10 y/o)
3^x >100 where x = days
3^1 = day 1 = 3
3^2 = day2 = 9
3^3 = 27
3^4 = 81
3^5 = day 5 = 243
4y = -3x -14 y = -3/4 x -14/4 slope , m, = -3/4 perpindicular = - 1/m = 4/3
point slope form of line 2
(y-7) = 4/3 (x-5) expand R side and re-arrange into y = mx + b form to calc your answer....
Next time please post only one question at a time.
If I had seen it before the other answerers this question would have been deleted.
But it appears that you tried to learn from their answers so it is probably just as well they saw it before me.
Next time, just one question though.
Each picture she takes has a probability of (4/5) of not turning out
The probability of at least one turning out = 1 - probability that none turn out
So we have
1 - (4/5)^n = 3/4 where n is the number of pictures she needs to take
1 - 3/4 = (4/5)^n
1/4 = ( 4/5)^n take the log of both sides
log (1/4) / = log (4/5)^n
log (.25) = log(.8)^n and we can write
log (.25) = n * log(.8)
n= log (.25)/log (.8) ≈ 6.21
So..as 4M found ......she needs to take 7
