According to my parents, and what I have learned so far, is that math is VERY important in life, and is used in many subjects. Sadly though, many of the things learned in algebra, geometry, etc... seem to be too complicated to actually find in a real life situation. If anything, knowing basic math and being resourceful is what you need to be successful. If you come across something that you can't do, search up a calculator that can on google or ask someone who knows what to do. (My mom has a good job working at a university and deals with student registration, and has to crunch numbers a lot. Surprisingly though, she says herself that she remembers very little from college or high school, because she never needed to use it.)

Of corse you will need math are you crazy! We use math in everyday life! It doesnt matter if you dont have a job because counting anything is math! Looking at a clock is math! EVERYTHING IS MATH!!!

the middle position is (23+1)/2 = 12,   15 is in the 12th position so 15 is the median.

Now there are 11 scores on either side of the median.

the middle position of these is (11+1)/2 = 6  the 6th score from either end  is 28 and 12

12 is quartile one or the lower quartile and

28 is quartile 3 or the upper quartile.

Now come on ultmage, you can do some of that yourself.

this is really easy...in such fractions we have to divide the whole number by denominator until we can no more divide and then multiply the rest....if we cant divide with whole number we may divide the denominator with the numerator!
