-2/3x+4=1/3x-2

$$\frac{-2x}{3}+4=\frac{x}{3}-2$$ Now move the 4 over,

$$\frac{-2x}{3}=\frac{x}{3}-6$$ Move the $$\frac{x}{3}$$ over,

$$\frac{-3x}{3}=-6$$ Simplify,

$$-x=-6$$ Now multiply both sides by -1 to make x a positive.

$$x=6$$

(If we substitute [x=6] into the sum we find that -4+4=2-2, which it does)

Just in regards to the answer above, thats the minimum if all the numbers dont have to be different. Since the question says they all have to be different, the lowest five values are 10,11,12,13,14 which add up to 60. Subtract this from 192 gives you 132 as the largest value for your 6'th number.

When mulitplying and dividing numbers, the product answer wiil become a postive when are multiply or divide two negatives. You know the saying "two negatives makes a postive", it's basically like that. When you add two negative numbers, the answer will be negative because you are like adding more to the negative number, thus making it more negative. For example: -2 + -3 = -5. You are adding like a more problem, but you're just adding a negative sign at the end. Whenever you're subtracting two negative numbers, the answer will be postive or negative depending of the larger number is postive or negative. For example(s): 3 + -2 = 1 and -3 + 2 = -1. Can you see the difference? Getting back to mulitply and dividing negatives numbers...it also depends on the one of the number of the problem being postive or negative too! For example(s): -3 * -3 = 9, -3 * 3 = -9, -10/-2 = 5, and -10/2 = -5. I hope the answer helps you understand this situation and get clarification!

31.9% = 0.319, so all you have to do is solve the equation 120,493 - (120,493 * 0.319^n), where n stands for the number of years. So...

120,493 - (120,493 * 0.319^4) = 119245.26 , so $119245.26 on the 4th year

120,493 - (120,493 * 0.319^9) = 120488.88 , so $120488.88 on the 9th year

So the amount of cancer cells = 8 • 2^x  because this is an exponential growth problem where y=ab^x. Therefore you would plug in your values of A and B with A being your 8 because you start off with 8 cancer cells when you have no days where it increases by 200% and b being 2 because it increases by 200% and that would 2 because the powers of 2 increase by 200% every time.  So, After 5 days there would be 256, after 10 days there would be 8192, and after 15 days there would be 262144.

You are not dumb, I didn't answer it because it was hard and i was short of time.

Maybe I could not have answered it.     

Maybe if you play around with part A and really underfstand it, you will be able to figure out part b just as easily as I could.   

I will see if time allows me to look at it more.  

I think a formula for an odd number of sides shouldn't be too hard to develope from what i have done but maybe it is different for an even number of sides.   

I put that first line there to try and attract others to take a look.
