I'm not sure how to do it with unit multipliers, but here's the answer

mm^2   =  mm x mm

And there are 10 mm in each cm

So

cm^2  = cm x cm    =   mm/ 10 x mm/10   =  mm^2 / 100

So   1000mm^2   =  1000/ 100  =  10cm^2

So if you have the alphabet with 26 letters.

the number of combinations of 26 is just 1

BUT

the number of permutations is        $${\mathtt{26}}{!} = {\mathtt{403\,291\,461\,126\,605\,635\,584\,000\,000}}$$

so there are a 'few' more permutations than combinations   LOL

Well, in that case, this is your question       R=(mB-t)/k      for B

multiply both sides by k

Rk=mB-t

We now want the lots of B bu themselves so I need to get rid of the -t

the opposite of -t is +t  

SO  I plus t to BOTH sides

Rk+t=mB-t+t

Rk+t=mB

Rk+t=m*B

Now I have to get rid of the m the opposite of *m is  divide by m and a divide is the same as a fraction

$$\\\frac{Rk+t}{m}=\frac{mB}{m}\\\\
\frac{Rk+t}{m}=B\\\\
B=\frac{Rk+t}{m}\\\\$$

OR in other words     B=(Rk+t)/m

without the brackets it is wrong :)

KR  = mB - T      add T to both sides

KR + T  = mB   divide both sides by m

[KR + T ] / m = B 

Use two unit multipliers to convert 1000 mm² to square centimeters.

Let me add one thing to what Melody said.....

Combinations count sets

Permutations count orderings within the sets

Thus, with sets of more than one element.....the number of permutations will be larger than the number of combinations....!!!

The order that the objects are selected in is NOT important.

BUT

All the permutations of 2 are     AB, BA, AC, CA, BC, and CB    There are 6  pemutations of 2 objects

 You see, with permutations the order is important!

sin40 = 80/ d      where d is the distance we want

Rearrange as

d  = 80 / sin 40 =   about 124.5 km 

$3.90-30% =2.73

30% of 3.90 is 1.17

3.90-1.17=2.73

Would this be right?

Hit the "2nd" bitton on the calculator......you will see the "atan" button.....this is the same as the tangent inverse....

Use the tangent inverse....we have

atan(rise  /  base )   = the angle in degrees
