what is x5 over x3? I assume you mean:5x / 3x. If that's the case, then just divide 5/3 and you should get a mixed fraction. Once you get that right, then you are almost done, because x/x=?. Good luck to you.

Try dividing each number into its Prime factors, e.g. :18 /2=9/3=3/3=1. So, the Prime factors of 18 are: 2 X 3 X 3. Do this for both numbers and see, by inspection, which Prime factor is the largest that divides both of them evenly. Hint: your answer should be an EVEN number. Good luck.

Well, when n = 6, the number of dots will be 17 + 3 = 20

when n = 7, the number of dots will be 20 + 3 = 23

... you could continue this way until you reach 32.

Alternatively, you could notice that the n'th term is given by 2 + n*3.  where n starts at 0.  Set this equal to 32 and solve for n.

That is     2 + n*3 = 32   so what must n be?

so nominal annual interest rate may be  6*6.1538461%=36.9230769% = 36.9%

What you want to do here is use the fact that the surface area is 500cm² to solve for the length of a side of the cube or the radius of the sphere.

Then given those you can find the volume of each.
