can you please explain where i went wrong in my recent explanation

i had a look at heureka's comment and replied to it

please tell

in the answer book given by IIT(indian institute of technology) which is without explanation, the answer is given as 3

so i thought i got ir right

please elaborate where i went wrong

The total tower height  = 32.6 + the remaining tower height

32.6 + 50.3*tan(13)   = 44.21 ft

We can use the sine for this......the ramp length is the hypotenuse of a right triangle and the opposite side from the angle of elevation is the ramp height, h

sin(25)  = h/ 140          .....multiply both sides by 140

140*sin(25)  = h  =  about 59.17 ft

We can use the tangent to find this........

tangent 68  = d/75     where d is the distance the boat is from the light house      multiply both sides by 75

75* tangent  68 = d = about 185.63 m
