I suspect someone is just trying to sell their xerox copying machine and looking to see if any interest is being shown in it!  (Alternatively, they are looking to buy one?!) 

I didn't know. WE always just add zeros and work to solve for unknowns LHS | RHS. What is the difference? I can guess but would like a better answer than just guessing. Thanks.

Secondly, I shared with the community the same as you have with the friendship link post you created or ship post Melody created. Lastly, it is important because it can promote the application of maths and sciences in a proffessional setting in an industry that might inspire people to learn the subjects with which they bring their questions here from more deeply. It's easy enough to draw a graph with 4 straight lines, 2 of which are parallel to each other and the other two of which are perpendicular to the first two.  However, where does the "random" part come in and what's the significance of the "5"?

A tenth is 0.1, so divide 89.5 by 0.1.

 89.5/0.1  multiply top and bottom by 10 to get 895/1 or just 895.

You don't really need to worry about the amplitude and wavelength (period)..the "1" out in front of 1 + sinx tells us that it's a sine graph shifted up 1 unit and none of the graph will lie below the x axis.......all the other graphs (answers) will have pieces that lie below the x axis...

so we'd solve this like

48  ÷ -6/7   (now out here we will change the division sign to multiplication one and also reciprocate the second fraction which is -6/7 which then turns to -7/6)

= 48/1 x -7/6  (now out here we have to cut or reduce or cross multiply the two fractions)(here we will cut 6 and 48 which then gives us 8)

=8 x -7  (and now simply multiply them)

= -56   ANSWER
