First convert (x+4)(x-8) to quadratic form which makes it x^2-4x-32. From there "Complete the square" which makes it y+32=x^2-4x...y+36=(x-2)^2.

Then you add 36 to both sides to get y=(x-2)^2-36 which is your answer.

h-600 = -16t^2

The roots of the quadratic  \(x^2+8x+4\)  are the same as the roots of the quadratic \(Ax^2+Bx+1\). 

What is \(A+B\)?

\(x^2+8x+4=4(0.25x^2+2x+1)\\ so\\ 0.25x^2+2x+1 \qquad \text{has the same roots}\\ A+B=2.25\)

It should also be noted that 3 points defines a parabola so this is the only answer.

Therefore

140 + 34 + 56 + x  =  360    simplify

230 +x  = 360    subtract  230 from both sides

x  =  130°
