Finding the inverse value, f^-1(14), doesn't require you to find the complete inverse function relationship.  See what you get when you calculate the value of f(7).

I'm assuming f(x) = 7 + x + ln(x - 6)         ( i.e. with ln(x - 6) not ln(x + 6) )

x=4

3^2(x/3)=12 pi m^3

3^2(4/3)=12 pi m^3

Re-compute:    -2 (0)^2  + 4(0)  +16 = ...........

First one      you need  3/4 of the amounts listed            amount * 3/4

Second one     ingredients listed are for EIGHT pancakes.....you want TWELVE    

                               If you wanted SIXTEEN    you would DOUBLE the ingredients wouldn't you ?

                                     well if you want TWELVE   , you need to 1 1/2 times the ingredients   (because 1 1/2 * 8  = 12)

C'mon..... you put   x= 0 into the equation and got  0 ???

First one:  SInce she has only 300 g oof  400 g  needed  , she has only  300/400 = 3/4 of the needed ingredient....

   all of the OTHER ingredients should be reduce to 3/4 of the required amount.....

You can get the solution graphically.  It is an estimate of course.

I will assume   'x' is the time      when the ball is thrown  x = 0    

Put that value of 'x' in to the equation to calculate initial height......

so is this unable to be solved? technically this a second step to my question I'm actually supposed to find the inverse of \(f(x) = 7 + x + ln(x − 6)\)where  f^-1(14). that's how I approached the question because I assumed this was the only way to solve it

Here is the completed chart..... there are 2 possibilities of a 6   out of  9 possibilities

  you should be able to do 'c' part now....

\(x+ln(x+6) = 7\\ ln(x+6) = 7-x\\ e^{ln(x+6)} = e^{7-x}\\ x+6 = \frac{e^{7}}{e^x}\\ \frac{1}{x+6} = \frac{e^x}{e^{7}}\\ e^{7}= e^x(x+6)\\\)

Here are some hints and partial solutions

sin 45 = cos 45 = sqrt 2/2         tan = sin/cos        sin 60 = sqrt3/2       cos 60 = 1/2

The equation is a dome shaped parabola due to the -1 coefficient of x²

   the vertex   'x' value  will be found by  -b/2a      this will also be the axis of symm

to find the ' y' value of the vertex, put the 'x' value found above and compute 'y'

    this 'y' will be the max 'y' value.......range will be  (-inf, 'y max value')

domain is  all x    (-inf,+inf)

Assuming that each square is one unit, the first one is \(2*1+5*2+1*1=13\) units

2. This is two equal triangles. So \((4*2)/2+(4*2)/2\)=4

3.  There are two pentagons of equal area. So the area would be \(7.5*2=15\)

4. Make a 4x5 square around it. Subtract 4 from one of the outside triangles. Subract 2 from another. Finally subtract 5 from the last. So \(20-4-5-2=9\).
