y=x^2-6x+7 y=2x setting the "y's" equal, we have
2x = x^2 - 6x + 7 subtract 2x from both sides
0 = x^2 - 8x + 7 factor
(x - 7) (x -1) = 0 and setting both factors to 0, we have that x = 7 and x = 1
