I'm not familiar with any key that adds/subtracts vectors.....but.....you really don't need one, anyway......when adding or subtracting vectors, we just sum (or subtract) their respective components....for instance....

And

< 7, 3 >  -  < 10, 13 >   =  < -3, -10 >

Well, 10^x=2, we take the log of both sides,

Log(10^x)=Log (2)

xLog(10)=Log(2)

x*1=.30102999............

x=.30102999................

This just means if you raise 10^.30102999=2

Minus infinity to plus infinity.  The sine of any angle varies between +1 and-1 regardless of the magnitude of the angle. That is to say Sine(angle)=Sine (angle + N x 180 degrees) where N can be any whole number.

Any way, I play with this for a long time and I still not know how to solve it.

I plug both the first equation and then mine into Wolframalpha and it give a=1.52128... 

so I know I do the rearranging correctly but I still not know the steps to get to the answer.

If one of the mods would do it that it would be great because I would like to know how.

Just a minor correction to the formula, which should read: (1 +(i/n))^n=FV. FV means Future Value.

(1/7) * (5/1)   =  5/7

what is 7.5% of 48,000?,

7.50% means 7.5/100=.075, then just multiply by 48,0000

So, .075 X 48,000=3,600, which is your answer.

Just convert feet into inches first, so we have,

4 X 12 +3.875=51.875, then just multiply by 12 strips, and you get,

12 X 51.875=622.50 length of 12 strips in inches. Then just divide this by 12 to give you feet.

Now, what does that mean? It means that if I lent  you $1 and charged you interest at 100% for 1 year, then at the end  of that year you would owe me $2. But if I  told you that 100% interest rate is compounded DAILY, then you would owe me: FV=(1 + (1/365))^365 =$2.714567......at the end of the year. Now, if I said to you that the interest rate is compounded every second!!!!!How much would you owe me then. Well, if we go to that formula: (I'm just using rough number of seconds in a year)

                                                                                                                                                               FV=(1 + (1/30,000,000))^30,000,000=2.718281828........etc., which is the maximum amount you owe me on the original $1 that I lent you. This is an extremely important number in Math.

It can also be derived in other ways such as: e= 1 +1 + 1/2! +1/3! +1/4!........and so on FOREVER!!!!.
