This is an assignment I was given by my tutor in economics.

The equation is as follows:

At the end it says:
V = 5^{10 over 7} = 9.966

Oh, Infinity is not a number, it is a concept.

Well, if the answer is 9.966, then the number you have given us is nowhere near that number. If you square 9.966=99.32. So, check your number carefully and see if you made a mistake.

But I still have some problems with the free body diagram. 

1 - What is Rc ? is this the shear force ?? 

2- Is RE is the reaction of the support in beam BE ? 

3- What is RB in the beam BE ?

The m's are masses and r is the distance between them.

F = 6.6742*10^-11 x (3.1x3.1)/(0.26^2) = 9.49x10^-9 N

The units are Newtons - a force (not m/sec^2 which is acceleration)
